Mother of 3 beautiful children. Born and raised half my life here in the UK. Was blessed with the wonderful opportunity to come back  from Malaysia, to follow my significant other pursue his studies.

After 8 years of hectic doctor life and completing specialist training, I finally have time to rest. Now a stay-at-home mum with an ambition of venturing the UK “modest fashion” industry.

Lets see if this doctor can become a successful “domestic engineer/ entrepreneur”(!)

I am a Malaysian currently based in London. I blog  on modest fashion, events and travel.

  1. Salam… sister. 🙂

I just randomly stumbled here. You’re doing a great work by sharing your stories to the world.

    I have some (random) questions.

1.) How Muslims are treated in London? Is there still that ‘Islamophobia-thing’ going on there?

2.) Is your husband a Londoner?

3.) What do you think about Inter-racial Marriage? Do you have friends who have been in inter-racial marriage? if so, would mind share their stories..?

I am looking forward to your response. 🙂

I love fashion too anyway. 🙂

    Warm regards,

    1. Wslm,
Oh wow, I didn’t notice that there we loads of questions. Thanks btw
      1) muslims are treated very well here, they are intergrated in society and work together well from what I see. I have never had any islamophobia instances while I was here. The people here are wonderful. My childrens school serve halal food and let us off for eid. Halal food is in the local supermarkets and many restaurants.
      2) no
      3) i am married to someone my race, inter racial marriages are wonderful I think. Especially if you live in a place that is a cosmopolitan like here in London where people from so many different backgrounds mix. I see it in my childrens school. Its ao mix that there is no dominant race. But they all speak ‘London’ english. Its wonderful.

      Hope that helps
