I was invited to attend the Sugarscarf London Fashion Showcase about a week ago. I’ve been meaning to blog about it and I haven’t had time 🙈🙈
Here’s a sample of what its all about
Withdrawal from yesterday’s @sugarscarf_uk London fashion showcase. Gorgeous hijabs and dresses modeled in such a modest way 🌹💖. Are you inspired for your next outfit? Starstruck also with really beautiful and down to earth celebs 🙈. #SugarscarfLondonFashionShowcase #girlcrush #hijabi #hijab #muslimahblogger #modestfashion #girl #autumn #leaves #fashionahowcase #fashionshow
Aren’t they gorgeous?
For those of you who aren’t familiar, sugarscarf is actually a known malaysian brand bringing unique designs in Malaysia. Their Insta page has about 200 k plus followers. So now they are bringging their flair and fashion on this side of the world. I am thrilled that the Malaysian fashion industry is coming here! Especially now since I’m here. Ahem.
I loved their designs. It was gorgeous. It was a lot of plain as opposed to printed designs which I think is suitable to cater for this part of the world. I noticed that the modest fashion here is just beginning to play around with prints and colours. I love the exclusive designs especially the plain with embelishments such as laces and beads. I thought thats just what hijabs here needed. 😅
I also love the splash of colours that they had which were not just black but lighter shades such as blue, grey, greens and pink/peach. Their turbans also looked amazing- although I have to admit I don’t wear turbans myself.
The layout or how the event was held was the best! Autumn themed! Love. Love. There were tonnes of dried leaves on the floor and models were cat-walking though them. I thought that was really creative.
The event ended with us mingling with ‘fellow’ bloggers. I say this coz I’m nowhere near as succesful as them.
Model in action. Loved the dress. Actually was distracted by it
Sugarscarf founder insta: @eyqasulaiman and @echinta ( turban designer)- very very sweet I must say.
Sebinah ( @sebinaah). Gorgeous inside and out.
The very sweet and beautiful Asma Toujani (@asma.tj) and Saima Chowdhury (@saimasmilelike ). oh My GOD 😱😱😱. I was watching Saima’s youtube videos in Malaysia like last year and I literally met her. Starstruck much? She was so so nice by the way. She even answered my DMs on instagram.
The beautiful Habiba da Silva ( @Lifelongpercussions). She is gorgeous on and off camera. Very sweet personality as well. She literally looks as she does on camera in real life.
Imane (@fashionwithfaith). Came all the way from Sweeden. Stunning! I actually asked her if she was on instagram 🙈
A few others such as @curlyfrieskapray. Very nice person. She is a hijabi fashion blogger 🌹
and @london_dolly_hijabi. And..
Meet @ronnioz the day after- coz I missed her that same day. Hahha
Looking forward to more styles in London iAllah💕💖
🙈I know I actually changed my “original intended to wear “hijab..
The modest fashion industry is booming. Although in my eyes its a positive step, some may see it otherwise. I like to see the brighter side of things because hopefully it will slowly reflect on my personality. Fashion is an art thus very subjective; what’s essential is to improve oneself and guide those close to you- and most importantly..not to judge. That job lies in His hands 💕💕💖. This is what I will be wearing at the Sugarscarf London Fashion Showcase tomorrow. Satin lace printed hijab. Anyone else going?
